Don't ask me why but I was walking through Oxford Circus on Saturday and came across a stampede of people with drums coming towards me. I was like s**t what do I do... Do I go back to the pavement I came from or continue walking and hope I make it? The next thing I hear is a police officer screaming at me "stay where you are"...I was like "but they are coming straight at me" so then I think he felt sorry for me and let me get across before it ended in a complete mess!
The mass group of people was a protest against animal cruelty and I'll be honest the flyers they were giving out illustrated some horrific images of what happens to harmless animals. There were some protestors dressed as monkeys and I think I even saw a giraffe...

Can anyone really take Simon Cowell's place?
So there is a rumour floating around across the great big freezing cold pond that is the Atalantic Ocean that this Adam Lambert will take Simon Cowell's judging place on American Idol.
Lambert, who has recently announced he will embark on his solo tour in June, has blasted the rumours out of the water. The Idol runner-up told fans via MySpace: "I keep hearing the rumour too, unfortunately it's just a rumour. "
Although he was being very modest this is a guy who came RUNNER UP in the American singing contest and someone, probably his publicist, decided it would be a good opportunity to created this little 'rumour' to plug his latest work.
The question that lies within my title is that is there actually anyone who could do Simon Cowell's job as well as the man himself? This of course is a rhetorical question because there is no one who can do the job as well as Cowell. I may think this because of the slight man crush I have on him or the fact that he is probably one of the most creative individuals the public have encountered.
There is no doubt that he can make someone breakdown on national television with just a few words but that is why there isn't anyone, including Adam Lambert, who could take his place. As humans we love witnessing the emotional crucifying of another being, it is truely pleasureable.
